The first Italian Oasis born, thanks to an agreement between the proprietors of the Camping site and the WWF, in 1966. Only a few steps away from the Camping site, you will find a large variety of flora and fauna fascinating for all. Since 1980 the Burano Lake has become a Nature reserve with the WWF entrusted by their management. The lake is in fact a salt pond on the coast separated from the see by a thin strip of sand. In the Reserve there are many typical nature environments of Maremma. Beginning with the coast that stretches still intact along 11 km, with the typical vegetational landscape of the sand dunes. GIARDINO DEI TAROCCHI
Giant sculptures stretching between the olive groves on the edge of the Garavicchio hill. The most imposing work by Niki de Saint Phalle, world renown artist. The Emperor, the Heremit, the Magician and all the Major Arcans meet along a magic itinerary where it is possible to go straight to the heart of figurative creation following the mystical and joyful path of art.

CAPALBIO
A jump back into the medieval Maremma visiting the old village of Capalbio. The village, 12 km from the camping site, can be reached by a road that goes through hills covered with untouched Mediterranean scrub. Capalbio still maintains antique atmospheres and more than a village is a castle with terraces, musked walls. Capalbio is well known by the tourists that love the charm of the medieval alleys, of the uncontaminated coast and sea, the beauty of the surrounding forests kingdom of the wild boars and of the roe deers.

MONTE ARGENTARIO
The promontory only 25 km distance from the Camping site, connected to the coast by two strips of sand, Feniglia and Giannella, and by a man made area. Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano are two ancient harbours still protected by amazing fortresses.

GIGLIO AND GIANNUTRI
To reach the Island of Giglio you need 45 minutes by sea embarking in Porto Santo Stefano. A trip you should not miss. The island of Giannutri, reachable by 1 hour by sea from Porto Santo Stefano, a few years ago this area has become Nature Reserve.

TALAMONE
Dominating the wide gulf of Argentario, 30 km away from the camping site, you find Talamone, an ancient harbour once the most important commercial port for inlands.

MAREMMA NATURAL PARK
The Nature Park of Maremma preserves wild and intact environments amongst the most beautiful in Italy. On the national road (Aurelia) heading towards Grosseto, 40 km from the Camping site, you can reach the visiting centre of Alberese (visits on horseback also available).

PITIGLIANO
A town carved in the tuff. Heading inland, 45 km from the Camping site, Pitigliano rises on a rock, surrounded on three sides by ravines and embellished by the arched sixteenth century aqueduct.

SATURNIA
Hot water springs and waterfalls throughout the whole year. Saturnia, one of the most visited places in Maremma, 45 km away from the Camping site, is famous, all around the world, for its thermal baths (37,5 °C).
